I know Alexa.com also ranks blogs but I’d like to see if there is something similar where I can look up types of blogs to see which get the most traffic. i.e. most traffic for a financial blog, most traffic for a personal blog, most traffic for a technology blog etc
Anyone know of a good site that does this?

I use a product called Copernic Agent Professional to custom design search parameters that will list websites of different categories so you can see which ones are ranking highest and also use Google Page Rank to get a good idea of the websites success/traffic with just a glance.
You can try using google adplanner. Sign in, then if you search by audience in the tab at the top, you can categorise into blogging sites, then bring in top blog sites per market etc.
